This song sounded so familiar when I first heard it, I've heard this song before I thought. I couldn't quite place it. Then I remembered it was the song from Jerry McGuire, Secret Garden. When I reread the 22 Things You Learn From Hanging Out With Taylor Swift Rolling Stone article, Jack Antonoff who cowrote this song told Rolling Stone it had a "a very 'Secret Garden' Springsteen vibe". It certainly does. The intro is the part that sounds the most like it me. They are both about 25 seconds. You could probably look at the notes and such too if you're a music nerd like me and they would be similar.
One of my favorite set of lines from the song is, "And your shoulders brush/No proof, one touch/You felt enough/You can hear it in the silence/You can feel it on the way home/You can see it with the lights out/You are in love/True love". When I was first falling in love with my husband I certainly felt this way, there was that moment when you hadn't held hands, no physical contact, and your hands accidentally brush, and you get so excited. And I think love isn't always about being in love. I love when she said you can hear it in the silence, you are just comfortable being with that person and you don't have to talk all the time. I love the other line, "And he keeps the picture of you in his office downtown", cause my husband does the same thing, and I gave him a picture when we were dating and he put it in his wallet.

Who is this song about?
I'll give you a hint. It's not about Taylor. It's about her friends Jack Antonoff and Lena Dunham. Taylor told Jimmy Kimmel on October 24, 2014, "I wrote it with my friend Jack Antonoff whose dating my friend Lena. Jack sent me this track to this song, that was just an instrumental track he was working on. Immediately I knew what the song needed to be. I wrote it as kind of a commentary on what their relationship has been like. It's me looking in and going this happened, then that happened and that happened and that's how you knew you guys you're in love. You're supposed to be friends and you're supposed to be in love and it's the whole package deal."
Lena and Jack met online and he told her all about himself. He told US weekly said, “It was a blind date by modern standards. I mean, I used the Internet,” Antonoff admitted. “I told Lena everything about my whole life, because when you really like someone, you want them to know everything about you.” They are completely in love and don't like to be apart much which is really healthy for a relationship. Lena said "We met and the day after we were apart for three months and so our relationship was sort of formed long distance, like that's what I became used to. But now, for the most part, we see each other…we try not to be apart for more than a week or two."
Lena said if she gets married "there's no ... way Taylor is not playing that song," as it should be since it was written about them. I love the line about being best friends. I love my husband, he is my best friend in the whole world. Lena told Parade Magazine, “I reached a point where I was so excited about my career and so excited about everything happening in that department that I thought to myself that if I’m alone for the next 10 years, I don’t care. The moment I wasn’t seeking approval in all the wrong places was the moment when someone came along. I wasn’t so good at the search, but I was able to accept someone really wonderful into my life. That was the distinction for me.” I feel like Taylor is at the same point Lena was when she found Jack, very excited about her career and not needing approval. In the song Taylor says "You understand now why they lost their minds and fought the wars/And why I've spent my whole life try to put it in words..." I hope she finds the special someone to be completely in love with and that something that she has spent her whole live writing about.

Their relationship is so sweet, I'm now in a 3-year relationship and I'm so happy, I can relate to this song too
