The Revolution Needs to Be Televised

Dear Taylor,

Let me preface this by saying America needs your help right now. I know you may not want to get involved but we need you. We need you and people that have a voice. They tried to silence you in the last election by saying celebrities should stay in their lane. But it’s a gaslighting tactic, the billionaires need to stay out of the political lane. Yes you are a billionaire, but you are a billionaire because you’ve been the voice to so many people. Your music speaks to our core. You got your money by speaking to us and standing up for yourself. They got their money by bullying people.

What can you do? First off start saying something everyday. Contact officials, get involved in your own way. I have been going to local protests, helping with indivisible, meeting people in my community. You can do that but on a much larger scale. Release some music. Get together with Gianna Branca and remix How History Goes. Get together with Lamar, Lady Gaga, Green Day any and all who will. Start the American Music Revolution. Got to protests, give speeches, go live with senators, House of Representatives, have a protest concert. Have Tree Pain lend her assistance to messaging with the Democrats. She is a pro at PR. There are so many things you can do. 

I know it’s hard to stand up, to speak up. The fear grips all of us. Those who are giving you money want you to be silent. They like the status quo. They want to get richer while all our rights are taken away from us. But we can’t pretend this isn’t happening. Live our lives like nothing is going on. The silence is compliance and robs us of everything we know. Everyday a new decree comes that furthers the corruption and makes us less free. 

I beg you Taylor just as you stood up to Apple Music, Spotify, your own old music label stand up for America. Your influence will inspire so many others. You don’t know the power you could have. Don’t be scare of losing money, followers. When we lose our country we will wish we had done more. And I think you might be surprised by how many people will come together and we won’t lose anything at all if we stand up right now.
